Toyama Glass Art Museum is located within "TOYAMA Kirari," a complex facility designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The building, which combines wood, glass, and aluminum, is a masterpiece both inside and out—the structure itself is a work of art.

Yamamachi-suji in Takaoka is a street that preserves the historic townscape of traditional merchant houses.

The street is lined with substantial earthen-walled structures and has been designated as an Important Traditional Building Preservation District.

Takaoka is also famous as a casting town, and shops along the street sell Takaoka copperware and tin products.

Himi Bannya Street is a roadside station in Himi City, bringing together fresh seafood from Toyama Bay and local specialty products. The building is designed to resemble a fisherman's work shed called a 'bannya.'

The area is famous for winter yellowtail.
