Matsuyama Castle is one of Japan's 12 remaining original castles, located at the summit of Katsuyama mountain at an elevation of 132 meters. You can reach the mountaintop by ropeway or lift, or climb up via the castle approach path on foot.
From the castle keep, you can take in sweeping views of Matsuyama city and the Seto Inland Sea.
