Okazaki
Okazaki City in Aichi Prefecture is nationally renowned as the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Okazaki Park, centered around Okazaki Castle where Ieyasu was born, is also beloved as a cherry blossom viewing spot. The city is famous for Hatcho miso, a traditional fermented soybean paste with a distinctive flavor that has been produced here since the Edo period.
