Hachioji

Hachioji City is located in western Tokyo, about an hour by train from central Tokyo. Mount Takao, at 599 meters above sea level, is a popular hiking destination easily accessible from the city center. The annual Hachioji Festival in August is known as one of the Kanto region's premier float festivals, and the city also features historical sites including Tama Imperial Mausoleum and the ruins of Hachioji Castle.
