Eiheiji

Eiheiji Town in Fukui Prefecture is nationally famous for Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto Zen sect. Founded by Zen master Dogen, the temple continues to practice strict Zen training, and visitors can experience traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine.
