Kurume

Located in southern Fukuoka Prefecture, Kurume City is renowned as the birthplace of traditional Kurume kasuri textiles and the global tire manufacturer Bridgestone. The city is also famous for its tonkotsu-based Kurume ramen and serves as home to Suitengu Sohongu, the head shrine of all Suitengu shrines in Japan.
