Toba

Toba City is a coastal city in southeastern Mie Prefecture, known as the gateway to Ise-Shima National Park. The city features Toba Aquarium, one of Japan's largest indoor aquariums, and Mikimoto Pearl Island, the birthplace of cultured pearl farming. Toba is also famous for its traditional ama diving culture and fresh oysters.
