Yuzawa

Located in southern Akita Prefecture, Yuzawa City is renowned as the birthplace of Inaniwa udon, one of Japan's three great udon varieties. The city offers beautiful natural scenery at Oyasu Gorge and traditional Kawatsura lacquerware crafts.
