Niihama

An industrial city in eastern Ehime Prefecture, known as the birthplace of the Sumitomo Group. The annual Niihama Taiko Festival held in October is one of Shikoku's three major festivals, featuring magnificent parades of taiko floats weighing approximately 3 tons.
