Hioki

Located in western Satsuma Peninsula, Hioki City in Kagoshima Prefecture is renowned for Satsuma pottery. The city features Fukiage Beach, one of Japan's three major sand dunes, and hosts the annual Myoenji Mairi pilgrimage in October to honor a fallen samurai retainer.
