Uken Village is located in the southern part of Amami Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, surrounded by the rich nature of Amami Gunto National Park. Mount Yuwandake, standing at 694 meters, is the highest peak on Amami Oshima, and beautiful natural spots like Arangachi Falls are scattered throughout the area.
