Yoron Town encompasses Yoron Island, the southernmost island of Kagoshima Prefecture, renowned for its emerald green waters and white sandy beaches. The beautiful sandbar called Yurigahama, which appears with the tides, is particularly famous, and the annual Yoron Marathon attracts runners from across Japan.
