Fukaya City in Saitama Prefecture is nationally famous as the birthplace of Eiichi Shibusawa, known as the father of Japanese capitalism, and for its renowned Fukaya green onions. The red brick JR Fukaya Station building, modeled after Tokyo Station, along with the local specialty niboto hot pot, attracts many visitors.
