Kumagaya

Kumagaya City in Saitama Prefecture is nationally known for holding Japan's highest temperature record. The annual Kumagaya Uchiwa Festival in July is famous as the greatest Gion festival in the Kanto region, and the city served as a Rugby World Cup venue in 2019. In spring, the cherry blossom trees along Kumagaya Sakura-zutsumi create a beautiful display.
