Tokushima

Tokushima Prefecture, located in eastern Shikoku, is famous for the whirlpools of Naruto Strait and its rich natural beauty. Known as the birthplace of Awa Odori dance, the prefecture hosts grand Awa Odori festivals throughout the summer. Visitors can enjoy beautiful mountain and coastal scenery, including the Iya Valley in Miyoshi City and the coastline of Minami Town.

四国の秘境、三好市

三好市といえば、吉野川の激流が2億年もの歳月をかけて創り出した断崖絶壁の渓谷である大歩危小歩危をはじめとする雄大な自然が特徴の街です。また平家落人伝説が残っており、平家の落人が追手から逃れるためにカズラで編んだとされる吊り橋「奥祖谷二重かずら橋」や住民の数より多い300体以上のかかしがあちこちに点在する天空の村かかしの里など面白いスポットがたくさんあります。また「祖谷そば」や味噌田楽の一種である「でこまわし」などの名物も有名です。
