Kamikatsu

Kamikatsu Town in Tokushima Prefecture is nationally recognized as an environmental pioneer, being the first municipality in Japan to declare a Zero Waste policy. The town features the beautiful Kashihara Rice Terraces, selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Terraces, and is famous for the Irodori business where elderly residents harvest mountain leaves for restaurant garnishes.
