Ancient temple with a legend of saving horses. A stunning hydrangea viewing spot
Kumakekei Kannon, nestled on the mountainside of Takiosan, is an ancient temple dating back to the Kamakura period, with a renowned legend of the Kannon Bodhisattva miraculously saving a horse from difficult labor.
In early summer, the temple grounds are blanketed with hydrangeas, creating a breathtaking landscape where purple-blue gradients of blooms envelop the Kannon statue.
