Hirogawa

Hirokawa Town in Wakayama Prefecture is known as the hometown of Hamaguchi Goryo, a great figure from the Edo period. It is the setting of the famous story 'Inamura no Hi' where Goryo saved villagers from a tsunami, making it the birthplace of disaster prevention education. Hirokawa Beach offers beautiful coastal scenery.
