Yuasa

Yuasa Town in Wakayama Prefecture is renowned as the birthplace of Japanese soy sauce, where traditional Yuasa soy sauce brewing methods continue to this day. The town center is designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, preserving the beautiful streetscape from the Edo period when the soy sauce industry flourished.
