Tanabe

Tanabe City in Wakayama Prefecture serves as a gateway to the World Heritage site Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes. The city is home to Ryujin Onsen hot springs known for their skin-beautifying properties and Benkei no Sato, celebrated as the birthplace of the legendary warrior monk Musashibo Benkei. It is also renowned for producing high-quality Kishu plums.
