Tsuchiura

Tsuchiura City in southern Ibaraki Prefecture is nationally known for its annual Tsuchiura National Fireworks Competition held every autumn. The city faces Lake Kasumigaura, Japan's second-largest lake, and preserves the historic ruins of Tsuchiura Castle from the Edo period.
