Ine

Ine Town, located on the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto Prefecture, is nationally famous for its unique funaya (boat houses) built along Ine Bay. These traditional structures built right at water level represent a rare architectural style found only here in Japan, creating beautiful scenery together with Aoshima Island floating in the bay.
