Goshogawara
Goshogawara City in Aomori Prefecture is a central city in the Tsugaru region, nationally famous for its giant Tachineputa floats reaching 23 meters in height. The Shayokan, former residence of author Dazai Osamu, is preserved as a memorial museum attracting many literature enthusiasts. In winter, the Tsugaru Railway operates charming stove-heated trains through the snowy landscape.
