Shirakawa

Shirakawa-cho in Gifu Prefecture is a mountain town famous for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The traditional gassho-zukuri houses create beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons, attracting many visitors. The town is also known for Shirakawa tea and the traditional Doburoku Festival.
