Yamaga

Yamaga City in Kumamoto Prefecture is a hot spring resort known for Yamaga Onsen, famous for the annual Yamaga Lantern Festival held every August. The historic Yachiyoza theater, built in 1910 and designated as a National Important Cultural Property, and the traditional Yamaga lanterns made only from Japanese paper and glue are must-see attractions.
