Yatsushiro

Yatsushiro City in southern Kumamoto Prefecture is nationally famous for the spectacular Yatsushiro Myoken Festival held every November. The city is renowned as a production center for banpeiyu, the world's largest citrus fruit, and igusa rush cultivation. Vast reclaimed land stretches along the Yatsushiro Sea.
