Ina City in southern Nagano Prefecture is famous for Takato Castle Site Park, one of Japan's three most celebrated cherry blossom viewing spots. In spring, approximately 1,500 Takato Kohigan cherry trees bloom magnificently, attracting many visitors during the cherry blossom festival. The local specialty ramen is a unique regional dish made with steamed Chinese noodles stir-fried with vegetables.
