Nozawa Onsen Village in northern Nagano Prefecture is nationally famous for its ski resort known for quality powder snow and 13 public hot spring baths called soto-yu. The village is also the birthplace of nozawana pickled vegetables and hosts the famous Dosojin Fire Festival every January.
