Uda

Uda City in southern Nara Prefecture is an ancient city blessed with history and nature. It's famous for Muroji Temple with its national treasure five-story pagoda and the 300-year-old weeping cherry tree called Matabei Zakura. The Uda Matsuyama Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings preserves the Edo period townscape that once flourished as a medicine trading center.
