Hita

Hita City in Oita Prefecture is a historic castle town located in the mountainous region of northern Kyushu. The city is famous for the spectacular Hita Gion Festival held every July, featuring elaborate floats, and offers cultural attractions including the ruins of Kangien academy, traditional Onta pottery, and the preserved historic district of Mameda-machi.
