Saiki

Saiki City, located in southern Oita Prefecture, is known as Kyushu's largest city by area. This historic castle town preserves the ruins of Saiki Castle from the Warring States period, and is famous for its local specialty gomadashi udon, featuring broth made from sesame and local fish. The clear waters of the Bansho River flow through the city.
