Shoo, Okayama

Shoo Town is a quiet community in northern Okayama Prefecture, beloved by local residents. The town comes alive during the annual Shoo Kintoki Festival and is known as the birthplace of Uezuki Kansai, a Dutch studies scholar from the late Edo period.
