Mashiko Town in Tochigi Prefecture is renowned nationwide for its traditional Mashiko pottery. The town attracts many pottery enthusiasts during the spring and autumn Mashiko Pottery Fair, and features the Hamada Shoji Reference Museum showcasing works by the Living National Treasure.
