Sano

Located in southern Tochigi Prefecture, Sano City is nationally famous for its Sano Ramen, characterized by clear soy sauce-based broth. The city is also known for Sano Yakuyoke Daishi, one of the three great temples in the Kanto region, and as the birthplace of politician Tanaka Shozo, who was active in the Ashio Copper Mine pollution incident.
