Shimotsuke

Located in southern Tochigi Prefecture, Shimotsuke City is a town rich in ancient history and culture. Visitors can explore the historic Shimotsuke Yakushiji Temple ruins and Tenpyo-no-oka Park, while the city is also renowned as one of Japan's leading producers of kanpyo (dried gourd strips).
