One of Japan's three most famous waterfalls. The 97m drop is breathtaking.
Kegon Falls is a scenic landmark representing Nikko and is counted among Japan's three most celebrated waterfalls. The sight of water from Lake Chuzenji plunging down a 97-meter cliff all at once is truly spectacular.
From the observation platform 100 meters below, reached by elevator, you can view the waterfall basin up close.
In winter, you can also see the 'ice waterfall' phenomenon where the entire falls freeze over.
