A historic Tendai Buddhist temple with the legacy of Nikko's founding

Rinno-ji is a historic temple founded by the priest Shodo in the Nara period, and is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites known as 'Shrines and Temples of Nikko.'

The main hall, Sanbutsu-do, houses three towering Buddhist statues approximately 8 meters in height: Senju Kannon, Amida Nyorai, and Bato Kannon.
