Located at an elevation of approximately 600 meters, "Midori no Mura" (Green Village) in Yoshimuta Highlands is one of Kumamoto Prefecture's premier stargazing destinations. With minimal light pollution in the surrounding area, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye at night, and the site features excellent camping facilities.
