A unique museum dedicated to the legendary tsuchinoko cryptid
The tsuchinoko is an unconfirmed creature with sightings reported throughout Japan. This museum in Higashishirakawa Village showcases the fruits of dedicated research and investigation into its legend.
The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, from the creature's suspected ecology based on eyewitness accounts to local folklore and folklore traditions.
There's also a snack called "tsuchinoko yaki" that features the creature as its motif.
