Kakuda

Located in southern Miyagi Prefecture, Kakuda City is known as a hub for Japan's space development. The JAXA Kakuda Space Center conducts rocket engine research and development, while beautiful plum blossoms color the city in spring. The historic Kozoji Amida-do Hall also attracts many visitors.
