Nagato, Yamaguchi

Nagato City is located in northwestern Yamaguchi Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan as a scenic tourist destination. It's famous for the beautiful coastline of Omijima Island, Motonosumi Shrine with its striking vermillion torii gates, and the historic Nagato Yumoto Onsen hot springs. The city is also known as the hometown of children's poet Misuzu Kaneko.
