Hikone

Hikone City in Shiga Prefecture is a historic castle town famous for Hikone Castle, a national treasure. The city is known as the hometown of Ii Naosuke and features the beautiful Genkyu Garden. It's also nationally famous as the home of the beloved mascot character Hikonyan.
