Toyosato

A small town in Shiga Prefecture's Inukami District with a population of about 7,000. The former Toyosato Elementary School buildings, constructed in 1937, were once called the 'finest elementary school in the East.' The site has gained renewed attention as a pilgrimage destination for fans of the popular anime 'K-On!' which used it as a model for its setting.
