Nagahama

Nagahama City in Shiga Prefecture is a historic castle town located on the northern shore of Lake Biwa. Known for Nagahama Castle associated with Hashiba Hideyoshi, the traditional streetscape of Kurokabe Square, and as the gateway to Chikubu Island floating on Lake Biwa. The annual Hikiyama Festival is a traditional event dating back to the Edo period.
