Kusatsu

Kusatsu City in Shiga Prefecture is a historic city that flourished as a post town on the Tokaido highway during the Edo period. The city combines its heritage as the former Kusatsu-juku station with its modern identity as a university town, home to Ritsumeikan University's Biwako-Kusatsu Campus.
