Taga

Taga Town in Shiga Prefecture is known for Taga Taisha Shrine, affectionately called 'Otaga-san.' The shrine has long been revered for its blessings of longevity, and the local specialty Otaga shakushi (wooden ladle) is popular as a lucky charm. Ema votive plaques offered by worshippers are also a distinctive feature of the shrine.
