Hino

Located in eastern Shiga Prefecture, Hino Town is known as the birthplace of the Omi Hino merchants, with a rich historical heritage. The annual Hino Festival in May features elaborate floats parading through the streets in a beloved traditional celebration. Mount Watamuki, the town's symbol, offers beautiful mountain scenery and popular hiking trails.
