Reconstructed castle tower built by Hideyoshi with panoramic views of Lake Biwa
Nagahama Castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1570. The current castle tower was reconstructed in 1983 and houses valuable artifacts from the Oda and Toyotomi periods, as well as exhibits on Nagahama's history.
From the tower standing on the shore of Lake Biwa, you can take in expansive views of the water's surface and the surrounding mountains.
